Mooi River Primary School is situated in Mooi River in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands. We opened our doors for teaching in 1910 and the school is 100 years old this year. Our school is an English medium school, catering for girls and boys from Grade 000 through to Grade 7. We offer children an excellent grounding and an outstanding education.

The educators are innovative,dynamic, dedicated and nurturing. They create and implement an exciting and holistic academic environment. In all phases, emphasis is placed on the acquisition and mastering of the basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Mooi River Primary believes that the children are the most important part of the school and their days are planned around individual needs for growth - emotionally, physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually. The learners are taught self discipline and organisational skills.

The school offers teaching in all eight learning areas, as well as media, music, computers, afrikaans and zulu. On the sports field, the children participate in swimming, cricket, soccer, rugby, netball, hockey and athletics. Our "Supper Theatres'", in which every one of the learners participates, are very popular with the parents and the local community.
